✨ Under the Northern Lights

ree

Someone posted a photo of the Northern Lights — only a few blocks away. I didn’t hesitate.I hopped up, pleaded with my son to pause his video game and come with me.He said, “If you see it, I might come.”

So I threw on my jacket and drove down the street. At first, I could see just a faint blush of pink in the sky.I parked at the park and walked out into the open field, away from the lights of the town. When I lifted my phone — there it was.

The Northern Lights.Glowing ribbons of fuchsia, green, and violet swaying among the stars. It was hard to believe. I never thought I’d see them in my lifetime.

I put my phone down to take it in with my own eyes. Now that I’d seen them through the lens, I could see them even more clearly in real life.I took a few steady, deep breaths.

A memory surfaced — teaching yoga in this very field eight years ago.So much has changed since then.So much growth, so many lessons in this little town that has quietly held me as I’ve evolved.

I never dreamed I’d have the life I live now — full of opportunities, connection, and love.I could feel the energy pulsing down from the sky, linking me to all the beautiful souls who’ve trusted me to guide them through movement and breath.

I realized I hadn’t looked up at the stars in a long time. They were brilliant tonight — almost humming.Emotion and awe washed through me.

Then a song rose up inside me: Adi Shakti — the Divine Feminine, the Divine Teacher.I looked around to be sure no one was watching, then began to sing softly under the Northern Lights, swaying with the sky.

Just then, my phone vibrated — a notification that my garage door had opened. My son was coming.

He found me standing in the field, and his presence filled me with peace.Everything was okay. Everything was exactly as it should be.He put his arm around me and lifted his phone for a selfie —just us, and the Northern Lights. 💫
